Closely related to Food Security, Nutrition, Health and Shelter-Protection SADA has contributed significantly in assisting communities during emergency times. Since its establishment until now, SADA has been actively engaged in emergency response projects. The details of some of the emergency relief projects are as follows:
Distribution of Food-Packages over 1,000 vulnerable families in Kabul province. The packages contained of: Rice, Flour, Bean, Oil, Tea, Salt, Sugar, and Dal.
Distribution of Food-Packages over 104 vulnerable families in Kabul province. The packages contained of: Rice, Flour, Bean, Oil, Tea, Salt, Sugar, and Dal.
Interventions to address immediate Shelter and Latrine Needs of local communities in Maiwand District of Kandahar province. 2,700 families directly benefited from this project as SADA with the financial support of Action Aid Afghanistan (AAA) built latrines and shelter-houses in 180 villages. The project significantly contributed in improving the hygiene conditions and provided houses for 2,700 households.
Provision of shelter material to Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in Dehrawod and Tarin-Kowt districts of Ruzgan province. In this project, which was funded by the Royal Netherland Embassy, SADA provided/distributed necessary house-shelter materials over 362 needed families. These materials included; cement, ceiling -girders, bricks, windows and doors.
Support of 2,000 vulnerable households affected by high price and drought crisis through the provision of quality declared wheat seed and fertilizer for the autumn and spring planting seasons in Gizab, Chora, CharChino, Dehrawood, Khas Uruzgan and TarinKot districts of Urozgan province. The project was donated by United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO).
